Blurred Lines, a popular pro-rape anthem by pop artist Robin Thicke is toxic to its listeners and even more so to the younger generations listening to it. The song preaches that consent isn't necessary and is blatantly misogynistic.

This song is triggering to rape victims; with almost every line quoting commonly said things from rapists to their victims. The song itself dehumanizes women by referring to them as animals and claiming that they "need to be set free".

As a rape victim, I don't want this message spread to the youth of America, creating another generation of people that think sexual assault is alright and that women are lesser beings.
